  • Outstanding shade tolerance
Worst attribute:
  • It's susceptible to lawn diseases such as St. Augustine Decline (SAD), leaf spot, and brown patch
  • It's attacked by insects (chinch bugs and white grubs)
  • Low wear tolerance so it's undesirable for heavily used lawns
  • Isn't cold-tolerant
  • It's a course-textured grass
